About Pilates Classic
 About four years ago, I happened upon a Pilates studio in Nashville. Like many people, the only thing I knew about Pilates was from a video – I had no idea there was a real guy! I was extremely lucky to find my way to a fully equipped studio where the teachers had extensive training in the method as taught by Joe Pilates. It was not an option to NOT know Joe! I was captivated by this man, his story and most of all, this system he created. I read everything I could get my hands on, and set my sights on becoming a teacher.
I looked all over for T-shirts that would help me promote my new business and came up empty handed … while yoga clothing was everywhere, Pilates wear was missing in action! Since I was so inspired by the man behind the method, the flagship phrase was obvious: "get to know joe"! I ordered a handful of shirts and sold out of them in a week. I was relieved that I was not the only one who would love Pilates tees!
Every phrase is unique to the Pilates method. Some are sassy, some are thought provoking, some are metaphors for life. All of them will help you promote your studio, your teaching or your passion for Pilates with everyone. My personal favorite will always be “get to know joe.” I love when people ask me who Joe is or what “scoop” I’ve got! And when’s the last time you “hugged your midline?”
